The Official Report on Human Activity or Long for an Elephant, an Essay is a short story that centers on a factory worker named Ipso who wants to be a writer and who gives birth to a small elephant with an undecipherable message on its hide. This multimedia reading of excerpts from the story will include music by trumpeter/composer Kris Johnson, vocalist May Erlewine and soprano Michele Marszalkowski and tenor Brian Leduc and video produced by filmmaker Joan Mandell.

Kim Hunter’s reading will be followed by a Q&A session with the artist from 6:30-7:30 pm, located in the lower level classrooms of the Wright Museum.
